This small standing figure is cast in concrete on a Jempinis wood stand and finished in a blue copper tone with a softly weathered texture. Its compact scale suits a side table, bookshelf or windowsill, and it pairs easily with the matching green copper and grey versions from the same range.
Symbolism
The design takes its inspiration from traditional Javanese court figures, and pieces like this are commonly sold simply as a decorative emblem of good fortune, echoing the name of the range. There is no religious or ceremonial function attached to the object itself, only the meaning each person chooses to bring to it.
Care
- Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth
- Suited to indoor display or a covered outdoor spot
- Bring indoors during frost or heavy rain to protect the wood stand
