A full chakra set like this is usually the last piece someone adds once they already have a regular meditation practice, rather than the first. The set includes seven aluminium singing bowls ranging from 19.5cm to 35cm, each one sized and coloured to correspond to one of the seven chakras, with a mallet included to play them.
Symbolism
In many contemporary meditation and energy-work traditions, the seven chakras are described as centres of energy running along the body, each associated with its own colour, sound and area of focus. A matched set of seven bowls is designed to let you move through all seven in sequence, using pitch and tone as a guide.
How to use
- Arrange the bowls on a flat, stable surface in ascending or descending size order.
- Use the included mallet to circle each rim in turn, letting the tone build and fade before moving to the next bowl.
- Work through the set slowly, treating each bowl as a separate point of focus.
