Mysterious Oudh takes its name from oud, one of the oldest and most prized materials in perfumery, pressed here into a pure fragrance oil supplied undiluted in a 500g bottle. Its deep, woody-sweet profile is intended for people who use fragrance oil regularly and want a full-strength supply on hand.
Spiritual meaning
Oud has a long history in meditation and ritual, from incense burned in temples and mosques to Japan's kodo, the formal way of incense, in which participants sit quietly and appreciate the fragrance of heated wood as a contemplative practice. Its rich, resinous smoke has long been linked to focus, stillness and reflection.
