This mini decanter is hand-blown from recycled glass and shaped directly over a reclaimed Gamal wood base, standing around 24 cm tall. Its organic, flowing curves echo the moment the glass was still molten, while the warm grain of the wood grounds the piece visually. Handmade in Bali, it is sized for a side table or drinks tray rather than a full dining setting.
Symbolism
Balinese glassblowers see the flowing shape of pieces like this as a visible trace of the glass's original molten state, captured the moment it met the wood. Many people find a quiet elegance in that contrast between a material that once flowed freely and one that grew slowly over years. Because each wood base is unique, subtle variations in shape and grain set every decanter apart from the next.
