The classic Yin Yang symbol sits inside a vivid mandala of pink and green patterns on this printed cotton wall hanging, with a bright yellow centre standing out against a black background. Symbolism
Yin Yang comes from Chinese philosophy and Taoist thought, where it is traditionally used to represent two opposing yet complementary forces, such as light and dark or activity and rest, that together form a balanced whole. Setting the symbol inside a mandala, a form traditionally linked to wholeness in Hindu and Buddhist practice, brings two different balance-focused traditions into a single design.
