A warm, resinous amber fragrance oil in a 10 ml bottle. Amber is a blended accord rather than a single plant note: sweet, balsamic and slightly smoky, the kind of scent that suits evenings and colder months. The oil is diluted in dipropylene glycol, a standard carrier that helps the fragrance last longer in a burner or a diffuser.
Symbolism
The amber accord takes its name from the golden fossil resin traded and worn around the Baltic and the Mediterranean for thousands of years, and from the sweet resins burned in temples. In folk tradition amber is associated with warmth, protection and grounding, and amber scents are often chosen for autumn and winter rituals.
How to use
- Add a few drops to the water in an oil burner or an electric diffuser.
- Use it on cotton wool or unglazed clay in a drawer or a wardrobe, or to refresh potpourri.
- Never leave a burning tealight unattended, stand the burner on a heat-resistant surface and air the room.
- This is a fragrance oil, not an essential oil: it is not for use on the skin or in food.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets, and wipe up spills, as the oil can mark polished surfaces.
