On wash day, a drop of English Lavender Essential Oil added to a wool dryer ball or a linen spray brings the classic scent of an English lavender field into freshly washed sheets and towels. It is steam distilled from the flowering tips of Lavandula angustifolia grown in England, the same lavender species grown across much of Western Europe.
Energetic properties
English lavender fields have supplied perfumers and households for generations, and the oil is traditionally associated with cleanliness and calm in equal measure. Many people use it to scent linen and laundry as much as for diffusing, carrying that association from the wash basket into the bedroom.
How to use
- Add a few drops to a diffuser, or to a damp cloth in the dryer for scented laundry.
- Dilute in a carrier oil before any direct skin contact, and patch test first.
- Do not ingest. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- If pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a doctor before use.
