Palo santo, meaning holy wood, has long been burned in South American traditions as part of cleansing rituals and quiet reflection. In incense form it carries that same association, valued for creating a peaceful atmosphere rather than for any specific effect.
How to use
- Place the cone point-up on a backflow incense burner designed to channel the smoke downward
- Light the tip, allow it to catch, then gently blow out the flame so it smoulders
- Never leave burning incense unattended and keep it on a heat-resistant surface away from children and pets
- Burn in a well-ventilated room
- Approximate burning time is 40 minutes per cone
