This beaded bangle from Bali, Indonesia, combines stone, glass and wood beads on a flexible band, inspired by the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana.
Spiritual meaning
Tri Hita Karana means three causes of happiness, with Tri standing for three, Hita for happiness and Karana for the elements or causes that bring it about. In Balinese tradition, this philosophy speaks of harmony between people and the divine, between people and each other, and between people and nature. Wearing this bangle is traditionally seen as a small daily reminder to seek balance across these three relationships, including the practice of acceptance towards oneself, others and the world.
