Spiritual meaning
Palo Santo translates as holy wood, and in South American tradition burning it is a way to clear stale energy from a space and mark a change, whether that is the end of the day or the start of something new. The chocolate note adds a soft, cocooning warmth to the ritual.
How to use
- Light the tip and let it catch, then blow out the flame so it smoulders
- Set the stick in a heatproof holder or dish, and keep it in sight while it burns
- Move it gently through the room, or leave it to smoke where it stands
- Air the room afterwards, opening a window if you can
