Palo Santo means holy wood in Spanish, and in South American tradition its smoke has long been used to clear a space and set intentions before it is used again. How to use
- Light the tip and let it catch, then blow out the flame so it smoulders
- Rest the stick in a heatproof holder or dish, never leave it unattended
- Move it slowly through the room you want to clear, or simply let the smoke drift
- Open a window or door afterwards to let the smoke and old air out
