This single angel wing is carved from sustainable albesia wood and finished with a white-washed, distressed surface that gives every piece its own worn, vintage character. Measuring 30 cm tall, it is light enough to hang from a wall or door, or to lean against the back of a shelf for a softer, more casual look.
Symbolism
Wings, and angel wings in particular, are widely used in folk and religious art as a symbol of protection and guidance. A single wing on its own is often chosen as a quieter, more understated version of this symbol, suited to a bedroom, hallway, or nursery.
How to use
- Hang on a wall or door using a small hook or nail through the top of the wing.
- Alternatively, rest it against a wall on a shelf or mantelpiece.
- Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth; avoid soaking the wood or using household cleaners on the white-washed finish.
