Light this stick just before you settle onto a cushion or a chair for a few quiet minutes, and let the smoke mark the start of that time apart from the rest of the day. Banjara Buddha Meditation is part of a series of incense sticks inspired by the stillness linked to the Buddha.
Spiritual meaning
Scent has long been used in meditation practice as a cue for the mind to settle, and this blend is traditionally associated with focus and inner quiet. Many people burn it at the start of a sitting practice, or simply when they want a few minutes of calm during a busy day.
How to use
- Light the tip, allow it to catch, then blow out the flame so it smoulders
- Place it upright in a heatproof holder, away from drafts
- Keep clear of curtains and other flammable materials, and never leave burning incense unattended
- Air the room once it has burned down
