Satya's backflow dhoop cones are shaped for use with backflow incense holders, which pull the smoke downward for a slow, visible stream.
Spiritual meaning
Palo santo wood is traditionally used in parts of South America for cleansing spaces and marking a fresh start, and the scent has carried into wider incense and dhoop traditions as a grounding, everyday fragrance. Many people burn it when moving into a new home or simply resetting a room after a busy stretch.
How to use
- Place the cone, base down, into a backflow burner with a downward air channel
- Light the tip, let it flame briefly, then blow out so it smoulders
- Use on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from fabric, papers and drafts
- Never leave a lit cone unattended, and keep away from children and pets
- Air the room out after burning
