Settling a child's room for the night, a drop of Mandarin oil in the diffuser brings a soft, sweet citrus scent into the air, gentler and less sharp than orange or lemon. Cold-pressed from the peel of Citrus reticulata grown in Argentina, it is one of the softest members of the citrus family.
Energetic properties
In several cultures, mandarins are exchanged at New Year and other celebrations as a symbol of good fortune, and the oil carries the same cheerful, gentle character as the fruit. Many people diffuse it in the evening for a calm, easy scent that still feels bright.
How to use
- Diffuse in the evening, alone or blended with lavender or other soft floral oils.
- Dilute before any skin contact and patch test first, as with all citrus oils.
- Avoid direct sun or sunbeds on treated skin for the following hours.
- Do not ingest, and keep away from children and pets.
