On a grey afternoon indoors, when you would rather be under trees, a Forest stick is an easy way to bring some of that green, woody air inside. Each pack contains 15g of Golden Nag incense sticks, made in India and ready to burn.
Symbolism
Woodland scents have long been linked with grounding and with the slow, patient rhythm of growing things. In many folk traditions, resins and woods gathered from the forest were burned to honour the land and to steady the mind before work or prayer. How to use
- Insert the uncoated end of the stick firmly into a holder or a bowl of sand.
- Light the tip, allow the flame to take, then blow it out so the stick smoulders.
- Use a heat-resistant surface and keep the holder clear of shelves, books and textiles.
- Open a window while burning and afterwards, and never leave it unattended.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets; store unused sticks cool and dry.
