Steam-distilled from the leaves of the wintergreen plant grown in China, this 50ml bottle owes its scent mainly to methyl salicylate, a compound found naturally in only two plants in the world: wintergreen and birch.
Energetic properties
The same sweet, minty note that makes wintergreen instantly familiar from candy and chewing gum also makes it a popular choice for waking up a room. Many people diffuse it after exercise or on cold mornings for its brisk, refreshing character.
How to use
- Add one or two drops to a diffuser, as the scent is strong and the oil concentrated.
- Always dilute well in a carrier oil before any skin contact, and patch test first.
