You light the burner with ylang ylang when the day has been too fast and the mind needs to slow down, a rich floral note settling over the room within minutes. This organic essential oil is grown without pesticides or synthetic fertilisers, native to the islands off the coast of East Africa.
Spiritual meaning
Ylang ylang is widely regarded in aromatherapy as one of the most relaxing scents for mind and body, often used to ease a restless mood and encourage a slower pace in the evening. Its sweet, heady fragrance is a familiar note in perfumery too.
How to use
- Add a few drops to an oil burner or diffuser
- Dilute in a carrier oil before any skin contact and patch test first
- Keep away from children and pets, and do not ingest
- Check with a doctor before use during pregnancy
- Never leave a burning oil burner unattended and use it on a heat-resistant surface in a ventilated room
