For a deeper reset after a difficult stretch, this bundle draws on a plant long used in traditional Mexican limpias, or ritual cleansings: pirul, also known as the Peruvian pepper tree, combined here with white sage in a 10 cm stick.
Symbolism
Pirul foliage is traditionally used in Mexican limpias, where it is associated with clearing negative or heavy energy from a space, and pairing it with white sage brings two related clearing traditions into one bundle. How to use
- Light the leafy tip at an angle and let it catch, then blow out the flame so it smoulders and releases smoke.
- Rest it in a heatproof dish or shell and carry it slowly around the room, letting the smoke reach corners and doorways.
- Never leave a burning smudge stick unattended, and keep a window or door open while it burns.
