With a coffee in hand and the morning still quiet, this is a gentle way to start the day: a bundle combining white sage with blue sage, sometimes called grandmother sage, in a light 10 cm stick.
Energetic properties
White sage carries the strongest association with clearing in North American tradition, while blue sage, Salvia clevelandii, is generally considered softer, linked in folklore to quiet wisdom rather than an intense clearing. Together they are a milder combination, often chosen for a daily habit rather than a single deep reset.
How to use
- Light the leafy tip at an angle and let it catch, then blow out the flame so it smoulders and releases smoke.
- Rest it in a heatproof dish or shell and carry it slowly around the room, letting the smoke reach corners and doorways.
- Never leave a burning smudge stick unattended, and keep a window or door open while it burns.
