You light a stick before you settle down to meditate, and the scent begins to shift the room's mood as the smoke curls upward. Each box holds around 10 handrolled masala sticks paired with a message card devoted to one of the seven chakras, chosen at random when the box is packed.
Spiritual meaning
In many traditions, the seven chakras are the body's main energy centres, each linked to a different aspect of physical, emotional and spiritual life. Burning incense dedicated to a chakra is a simple way to bring attention to that energy point during meditation or quiet reflection, while the accompanying card offers a short thought to sit with.
How to use
- Light the tip of the stick and let it catch, then gently blow out the flame so it smoulders
- Place in a heatproof holder that catches the falling ash
- Read the message card before or after your session as a point of focus
- Never leave burning incense unattended and keep it away from children, pets and draughts
- Air the room after use
